Fees and Funding

Our sessions are available during term time.

Fees are payable until your child becomes eligible for Early Years Funding.

2 year olds

We accept children in the school term that they turn 3 (rising 3’s). These children are counted as 2 year olds for that first term. These parents have various payment options:

  • pay for sessions
  • apply for funding for Working families – Parents need to apply for confirmation of their eligibility and will be given a unique code. The nursery will need to be in receipt of this code before the 15 hours can be allocated. We will also need the parent’s National Insurance number.
  • apply for funding for Supported families.

3 and 4 year Olds

All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible to receive Universal or Extended Funding, entitling your child to free care and learning per week from the start of the term after their 3rd birthday.

Universal Funding for 3 and 4 year olds and Supported families with 2 year olds

All three and four year old and some 2 year old children are entitled to 15 hours of free child care for each week of the school term, starting in the school term after they turn 2 or 3.

Where attended hours go above your 15 hour entitlement per week, you will be charged for the extra hours.

At this setting the 15 hours Universal Entitlement may be taken as detailed below:

3 Hour Sessions

  • Mornings 8.45am – 11.45am
  • Afternoons 12.30pm – 3.30pm
  • A mixture of morning and afternoon sessions

Full Days

  • From 8.45am until 3.30pm
  • Available every day
  • The child must bring their own packed lunch
  • A full day uses 6.75 hours of funding per day

Funding for Working Parents

Some children may be eligible for an additional 15 hours per week. Parents need to apply for confirmation of their eligibility and will be given a unique code. The nursery will need to be in receipt of this code before the additional 15 hours can be allocated. We will also need the parent’s National Insurance number.

Please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk to apply for your code.

If parents would like to take between 15 and 30 hours, they can apply for a mixture of full days and half day sessions. Funding can be used for all hours attended.

Access to sessions are subject to availability (please refer to our admissions policy)

Additional Services

We appreciate that the 15 hours free entitlement alone may not be sufficient for some family’s needs, but they may not be entitled to 30 hours of funded childcare.

Extra Sessions and Lunch Clubs can be purchased at £7 per hour (£21 per 3 hour session)

Extra sessions

  • Mornings
  • Afternoons
  • Full Days

Lunch Club

  • Available each day 11:45-12:30
  • There is a charge if you choose to add this to your morning or afternoon session and it cannot be included in your funded hours
  • The child must bring their own packed lunch

Access to sessions are subject to availability (please refer to our admissions policy)

Late Collection of Children

We understand that parents may be delayed in collecting their child due to reasons beyond their control. Please contact the nursery if you are running late. Due to safeguarding and staffing implications the Nursery reserves the right to charge a late Collection Fee of £20. Repeated non-collection may result in the Local Authority Safeguarding Team being contacted in line with our safeguarding policy.

We regret it will not be possible to refund fees for absences of any kind. In addition, parents should note that sessions are allocated on a termly basis, and again, we are unable to offer ‘other sessions’ if your child is absent for their usual session. To cancel a place 6 weeks written notice is requested.

From time to time some parents find it difficult to pay fees on time. Should you find yourself in such difficulties the Committee would encourage you to contact Mrs Gunter as soon as possible to talk over the problem in absolute confidence with a view to securing your child’s place at the Nursery.
