All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible to receive Universal or Extended Funding, entitling your child to free care and learning per week from the start of the term after their 3rd birthday.
2 year olds
We accept children in the school term that they turn 3 (rising 3’s). These parents have various payment options:
- pay for sessions
- apply for funding for Working families – Parents need to apply for confirmation of their eligibility and will be given a unique code. The nursery will need to be in receipt of this code before the 15 hours can be allocated. We will also need the parent’s National Insurance number.
- apply for funding for Supported families.
Universal Entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds and Funded 2 year olds
All three and four year old and some 2 year old children are entitled to 15hours of free child care for each week of the school term, starting in the school term after they turn 2 or 3.
At this setting the 15 hours Universal Entitlement may be taken as detailed below:

- Afternoons 12.30pm – 3.30pm
- A mixture of morning and afternoon sessions

Where attended hours go above your 15 hour entitlement per week, you will be charged for the extra hours.
Extended Entitlement for Working Parents
Some children may be eligible for an additional 15 hours per week. Parents need to apply for confirmation of their eligibility and will be given a unique code. The nursery will need to be in receipt of this code before the additional 15 hours can be allocated. We will also need the parent’s National Insurance number.
Please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk to apply for your code.

Late Collection of Children
We understand that parents may be delayed in collecting their child due to reasons beyond their control. Please contact the nursery if you are running late. Due to safeguarding and staffing implications the Nursery reserves the right to charge a late Collection Fee of £10. Repeated non-collection may result in the Local Authority Safeguarding Team being contacted in line with our safeguarding policy.
We regret it will not be possible to refund fees for absences of any kind. In addition, parents should note that sessions are allocated on a termly basis, and again, we are unable to offer ‘other sessions’ if your child is absent for their usual session. To cancel a place 6 weeks written notice is requested.
From time to time some parents find it difficult to pay fees on time. Should you find yourself in such difficulties the Committee would encourage you to contact Mrs Gunter as soon as possible to talk over the problem in absolute confidence with a view to securing your child’s place at the Nursery.
